Universe in Bloom CAL 2025

Let us go where the time runs slow...

Inspired by the soulful song All You Got is Gold by indie band The Great Escape, the Universe in Bloom CAL 2025 is a 12-week crochet journey designed by beloved artist Dedri Uys. Launching in Autumn 2025, this vibrant Crochet-A-Long celebrates creativity, connection, and colour through playful textures and clever techniques.

Perfect for adventurous beginners and seasoned crocheters alike, participants will be guided weekly with detailed instructions and support from the Scheepjes community. Whether following a suggested colourway or crafting a personal palette, this project is designed to spark joy and creativity all season long.

About the Designer
Dedri Uys is known for her warm, inclusive approach to crochet design. Creator of fan favourites like Sophie’s Universe and Charlotte’s Universe, her work blends storytelling, skill-building, and heartfelt connection—bringing people together, one stitch at a time. Crochet-Along (CAL) running from 8 October to 17 December. A Tips & Tricks PDF will be released on 1 October, packed with helpful info like pattern notes, gauge guidance, and measurements.

The free pattern parts will be available in English (UK & US), Dutch, and German, typically released on Wednesdays at 12 noon CET/CEST via Scheepjes.com and the Official Scheepjes Facebook groups.

Weekly photo and video tutorials will support your progress—English tutorials by Dedri (LookAtWhatIMade) and Dutch tutorials by Michael Wassenaar (Mike’s Creatieve Wereld). Both will be active in the Facebook groups to assist and connect with participants.
